April 1, 2026

It is April 1st! Time is moving so fast. Today, I woke up at 9:15 and left for class at 9:55. I had the class from 10:30 to 12, and then I had a break for an hour. I went to 7-Eleven at the campus plaza for lunch and got kimbap, an Oreo popsicle, and a drink. Once I checked out, I went to the international building to eat and sleep until the Korean hallyu class at 13:00-16:00, then a friend from class walked with me to Compose Coffee. After we finished, I went back to the dorm study room to lock in and catch up on soo many things like hw, money tracking, and blog until 22:00. Then, I went to Baskin Robbins for ice cream and called my sister since it was her birthday. We had a good call with a lot of laughs and memories.

After, I went to 7-Eleven on my way back home to the dorm to get actual food. Once I got to the dorm, I did some work until 23:00. Ayleen and I decided to bike to the campus library to study since one of the floors was open 24/7. So I am going to tell a funny story, don’t laugh at it. On the hill near the intersection of campus, Ayleen ran into the curb, so I stopped to make sure she was okay. This backfired and I fell very slowly from my bike. As I was falling, I saw two guys who just looked at me and kept walking. Fortunately, two girls ran to help me up and make sure I was okay.  Once I was back up, Ayleen and I walked to the library as if nothing had happened. We finally made it to the library! I see you laughing! It’s okay, you can laugh because it was funny ㅋㅋ. We locked in until 4:00 am when we went to McDonald’s for a meal before walking back to the dorms to finally sleep.

April 2, 2026

I was able to sleep in, so I woke up at 12:00. I left the dorm around 14:00 to try the BTS drink at Compose Coffee, but they were sold out, so I went to Banapresso. It was my first time there, so I wanted to try it out. I got a matcha strawberry latte and tiramisu. There were no spots left, so I had to go back to the dorm. Around 17:40, I walked to the international building for Korean class. After class, I went to McDonald’s with Ayleen for dinner. I got a burger and fries, which were very good. Then, we went to Krispy Kreme, which I shouldn’t have gone to, but whatever. We returned to the dorm around 22:05. Since I still had a lot of work to do, I went to the study room in the dorm until midnight, which is when it closes. I returned to my room and continued working until around 2 am.

April 3, 2026

It is the last day of the week, and I only have one class. I woke up at 9:50 but didn’t get out of bed until 10:20. I walked to my Animal Ethics class, which starts at 11. After class, I went to the campus plaza’s Mammoth Coffee for a drink.  Once I got my coffee, I headed to the international building to do some work before I met up with some friends. I met them at a local restaurant. They are super nice and welcoming people. While meeting them, I ended up getting my official Korean name! It felt cool because they gave it to me.

After the cafe, we went to a bingsu place. Bingsu is a Korean dessert made of shaved ice and sugar with various toppings on it. It was my first time having bingsu. I have made it before, but it kind of wasn’t that good. The bingsu from there was super yummy. They both had appointments, so I went to the library while they had the meeting. Around 19:00, I was getting tired and decided to go to 7-Eleven for a drink and food. Once I had everything, I went back to the dorm and finished a blog post. Before I slept, I read a little of a language book until 1 am.

April 4, 2026

I woke up to an alarm at 7:50 but didn’t get out of bed cause I woke up three times last night. Then, I looked for a place to eat breakfast and the closest was in Itaewon. I decided to go to Original Pancake House in Itaewon, which was a 30 min train ride. The food was amazing and nostalgic because Koreans do not eat the typical breakfast. It was hard to find places to eat nearby. Since I was in Itaewon, I of course needed to go to the famous pub from Itaewon Class. It was called the same name, 단밤, and opened at 18:00. Because I got there earlier, I took pictures and walking around. I ended up buying a watch, sunglasses, and gifts at a smaller shop before heading back to the pub.

When the restaurant finally opened, I went inside and ordered the exact meal that was shown in the drama. I wasn’t super hungry, so I couldn’t eat a lot. The food was also very spicy, and I needed to reorder rice just to eat it. After eating, I walked to the train station but ran into a crowd. They were watching people sing and dance, even young kids!! Apparently, the kids were releasing their own album! After watching them for a long time, I went to the train station to get to Hanyang. I stopped at Waffle Uni for dessert, then went to a 노래방 since I felt inspired by the crowd. I was there until midnight, then went back to the dorm. I showered, had a call with my parents, and read before going to bed around 3:30 am.

April 5, 2026

I woke up many times over the night to go to the bathroom, which is very unusual for me. I got out of bed around 12 and ordered lunch. I ordered pizza and tiramisu from No More Pizza. While I was waiting for it to get delivered, I went to 7-Eleven to recharge the laundry app. I started my laundry, so when it finished, my food was here. I ate it in the dining room and went back to my room before heading back down to switch my laundry to the dryer. Once in my room, I organized and cleaned my room, put laundry away, and updated my money tracker. Then, I locked in with homework until 23:00. I finished my other things before I read more of the book from yesterday and went to bed.

April 6, 2026

I was so happy that I didn’t have any classes scheduled for Mondays because that meant I could sleep more. I woke up at 12 ish and met a friend to go to the train station. On our way, my roommate saw us and wanted to join, so we waited for her. We took the train to Myeongdong to get our skin analysis for free. I wish the US had the same option. After, we walked around a little bit before we split up in different directions. Two of us wanted to go to Seoul Forest for the cherry blossoms, while the other went back to the dorms.

Ayleen met the two of us at Seoul Forest to walk around. After, we went to an Italian restaurant with fancy dishes, but on the cheap side, I got beef Wellington. It was sooo delicious and cheap! I don’t remember having beef Wellington ever, so I really wanted to try it, plus it was only $35!. They liked their dishes too and ended up ordering them again. Once we were all done, we stopped by A Twosome Place for dessert. I got a matcha Oreo spoon cake and an ube latte. Since it was getting late, we took the train back to the dorms. I went to bed around 3 am, but didn’t fall asleep until around 4 am.

April 7, 2026

I woke up at 9:30 and left for my 10:30 class. On my way, I stopped by Mammoth Coffee down the hill from the dorms. We got out of class early, so I went to the library lounge for a little while to chill before my second class. I had my second class at 13:00 and was hungry after. I went to the Plaza for lunch and met a friend there. Once I was done, I went back to the library to lock in, but I also ended up sleeping. Around 17:45, I walked to Korean class. I had to leave early in order to register for class back home. I ended up getting all my classes, thankfully. I went to McDonald’s for dinner, then biked back to the dorm.
